Friday, January 31st 2020 :

Come and have a guided tour, with explanations from the authors who were part of the collective residency PFC#7, with Alex Baladi, Matthias Lehmann, Violaine Leroy and more.
– 5:00 pm : lecture with Aisha Franz.
Aisha Franz is an international karaoke champion and will do a lecture of her recent work.
– 6:00-7:00 pm : lecture from Charles Burns.
A moment to enjoy the north-american cartoonist who was part of PFC for the second time.

Saturday, February 1st 2020 :
– 11:00-11:45 am : What happened ? A guided tour of the PFC#7 exhibition.
Come and have a guided tour, with explanations from the authors who were part of the collective residency PFC#7.
– 2:00-3:00 pm : a talk with Xavier Guilbert (du9.org) about the PFC experience.
– 5:30-6:30 pm : lecture with Lale Westvind.
The frisky cartoonist from Philly will share a moment with us. Two parts, tons of fun.
– 6:30-7:00 pm : Joanna Lorho in concert.
Set of angry love songs, courtesy of the cartoonist/musician/animator/radio animator.
– 7:15-8:00 pm : Zak Sally in concert.
The cartoonist and publisher, former bass player in Low, ChiFouMi US counterpart, will build a pocket wall of sound.

Sunday, February 2nd 2020 :

We come closer to the end of the very first day and of the very first collaborative project : a 40 pages, 2 colors silkscreen printed accordion book, launched by our precious and old friend Renaud Thomas, with help from our precious and old friend Jaime Willems, produced between Le Grand Jeu where’s PFC#7 is happening at the moment and L’atelier Le Bouc in Angoulême.
At this very moment, we draw, we ink, we scan, we cut, we colorise, we work hard on the first project done made in PFC#7.

First step : each guest resident did a single color drawing. Later, this drawing is colorised by some other author.

Jaime and Renaud in full action : scan, cleaning, correctin, resize, lay out of the book.

Then, a double spread is slotted between two drawings. This new double page introduce the narrative notion within the project, connecting two drawings from two different cartoonists. Even more, it’s the result of a collaboration between two authors… The final version looks like a narrative suite looking like : page 1 : [author A] ; pages 2 & 3 : [authors A & B] ; page 4 : [author B] ; pages 5 & 6 : [authors B et C] ; page 7 : [author C] ; etc.

Thursday, 11:50pm, first day : 39 pages, soon at the Pierre Feuille Ciseaux #7 art show within the FIBD.

More infos soon about the soon-to-happen PFC#7 which will happen next january during the Festival International de la bande dessinée d’Angoulême (thansk again for the invitation and the confidence !).

More details very soon but save the dates for the PFC#7 show (complete with exhibitions, gatherings, lectures, concerts, workshops among many other things) from january 30th to february 2nd, 2020, at “L’Espace Franquin”, Place Saint-Martial, in good’ol’ Angoulême !

Meantime, all this will be once again discussed both on this site and on social networks in real time, where we will try to share as precisely as possible the outcomes of this new experiment.
