We’re invited to such a nice event by our friends of the association Pas Serial S’Abstenir<\/strong> : the 15th edition of the Festival des Litt\u00e9ratures Polici\u00e8res Noires et Sociales<\/strong> (Social and Crime Literature festival), located in the Kursaal in Besan\u00e7on, on May the 19th and 20th.\u00a0(*).<\/p>\n

\"\"You’ll have the opportunity to actually attend a must : meet the great Jos\u00e9 Mu\u00f1oz,<\/b> after the screening of L\u2019Argentine de Mu\u00f1oz<\/i>,<\/b> \u00a0the movie <\/b>that Pierre-Andr\u00e9 Sauvageot<\/b> (previously director of amazing documentaries about Willem, Tardi or Battisti)\u00a0<\/b>dedicated to him. If you’re (just like us), a lover of the divine Argentinean, or if you spent the last century on another planet,\u00a0you definitely have to see this\u00a0wonderful 71 minutes movie<\/span> !<\/p>\n

It’s worth reading one of his numerous books, such as\u00a0\u00a0(if we absolutely had to pick some) those made in such a great energy with Carlos Sampayo. <\/b>Mu\u00f1oz’ work is one of the most outstanding of Comic Art history. Each and every page attests exceptional graphic skills as much as wisdom and a specific way to see things that put him apart from other people<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Today aged of 70 years old, Mu\u00f1oz used to be a student of sculptor Humberto Cerantonio,<\/b> and of the great Alberto Breccia,<\/b> as well as the assistant of Francisco Solano Lopez<\/b>\u00a0and Hector \u0152sterheld.<\/b> He will tell us about his path:\u00a0the departure from Argentina in 1972,\u00a0which, as for many Argentineans became\u00a0a road to exile. The\u00a0multiple\u00a0meetings,\u00a0twists and turns, hundreds of\u00a0unforgettable pages that have, then, stood out loads of readers.<\/span><\/div>\n

In 2007, Jos\u00e9 Mu\u00f1oz\u00a0got\u00a0the Grand prix de la ville d\u2019Angoul\u00eame<\/i>. The year after, he presided over the jury of the 35th edition of the Festival international de la bande dessin\u00e9e d\u2019Angoul\u00eame.<\/p>\n
